Unfortunately for everyone in Perth, this week's forecast is looking a little on the wet side. But don't worry, there are still plenty of things to do in Perth that are rain-friendly and will keep you dry.

We have compiled a list of some of the more unique and exciting indoor activities you can do that will help pass the time until Perth's infamous summer days are back.

It's important to note that the availability of these activities is subject to COVID19 restrictions. For the most up-to-date restrictions, please visit wa.gov.au.

  1. Immerse Yourself in the Perth Cultural Centre

The Perth Cultural Centre is where the arts, culture, and knowledge of Perth come together in one place. Close to public transport, Perth CBD, and Northbridge, the Cultural Centre is a dynamic and lively space with plenty of museums, galleries, and educational institutes to visit.

From the latest art exhibitions to learning about our native ecosystems, there is something for everyone including:

2. Try a Bit of Everything in Fremantle

Fremantle (or Freo as it is referred to by locals) is full of history, art, and culture. Known for its amazing food and coffee, don't be surprised if you end up spending a majority of your time eating and drinking your way through Freo.

Whether you are looking to dive into Perth's history or shop till you drop, you will never run out of things to do including:

3. Keep Dry Amidst the Wet at AQWA

AQWA is Perth's long-sanding aquarium that lets you get up close and personal with some of West Australia's amazing marine wildlife.

From shark feeding to baby sea turtles, there is something for everyone to enjoy at AQWA. With scheduled daily talks and even the opportunity to go scuba diving, you can enjoy the aquarium at whatever depth you are comfortable with.

Situated right on the water with views out over the ocean, AQWA is an easy 25-minute drive from the city. It is conveniently surrounded by Sorrento Quay with plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops, and clothing shops right on the doorstep.

As of Tuesday 6th July 2021, patron limits do apply. This may mean a short wait at the gate, so book online for your convenience. Ticket prices start at AUD$18.00.

4. Challenge Your Friends and Keep Your Heart Rate Up

Whilst the museums and attractions are definitely entertaining, they don't require a great deal of energy. Luckily for us, there are many options across Perth to help burn off energy, get the adrenaline pumping, and most importantly, out of the rain.

From indoor sky-diving to axe throwing, if you are looking to get the blood pumping there is definitely something for you in Perth. If you are needing something a little bit more family-friendly, why not try Latitude.

Looking to keep your feet on the ground but not firmly? We recommend trying out ice skating or roller skating. With great music and something to suit all skill levels, this is definitely something to try with your friends or family.

Want to embrace some friendly competition? From indoor mini-golf to escape rooms, Perth has many indoor opportunities for you to challenge your friends to something new.

5. Eat Your Heart Out

If you’re going to wait out the bad weather, you might as well do it in the company of good friends, good food, and a good drink. We are definitely not short on lunch options in Perth.

Assemble a group and make a reservation at lunch hotspots such as Rockpool Bar & Grill (luxe steakhouse classics and one of the country’s mightiest cellars); Balthazar (good times in a clubby Art Deco room) and the new Ku De Ta (hello, riverside views).

If you are interested in soaking up the ocean vibes, why not try a beachside restaurant? The Shorehouse, Odyssea, and Bathers Beach House are all stellar options.

If you are looking for food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, Perth is infamous for the good stuff on a budget. Why not try Old Lane Street Eats, Taka's Kitchen, or Toastface Grillah?
